» ESO adding housing next year

Dec 06, 2016 - 1:49 PM - by Alex Mars
ESO will be adding housing in February 2017 and will have it on the public test server in January. Housing will be purchased with in game gold, although there will also be Crown shop options as well. Houses will be sold furnished and unfurnished and will be available in racial based styles. Housing is one of my favourite MMO things since old UO so I'll be heading back to ESO to check it out.

The current trend for MMOs is the action oriented sandbox game but everything cycles around. Brad McQuaid, from the original Everquest team, is developing Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen. He's going for an old school MMO with a focus on interdependent group play and what appears to be, from the alpha videos, a tab target/autocombat system. It's another game that is trying to be EQ without the suck but one of my reservations is that McQuaid himself had a hand in putting a lot of the suck into the original EQ. On the other hand, everyone can change. I'm hoping this game makes it to release... [Read More]
